Che sia reso onore ad Aldo Ossola, il vero Duke Ellington del basket italiano, autentico direttore d’orchestra come il duca nel jazz, in più con una straordinaria capacità di lettura e conduzione del contropiede paragonabile, tanto per capirci, a quella di Bob Cousy, mitico playmaker dei Boston Celtics targati Bill Russell.
Hats off to Charlie Yelverton, grande giocatore e grande saxofonista, visto all’opera in Italia con Varese in una delle migliori edizioni della grande Ignis e Mobilgirgi degli anni Settanta e poi anche a Brescia. Personalmente ritengo Yelverton il migliore difensore visto in Italia sulla linea avanzata di una difesa a zona 2-3.
Straordinario hats off to Gianluca Basile senza ombra di dubbio il più jazzista dei giocatori italiani per le sue geniali capacità di improvvisazione, è lui il vero Charlie Parker del basket italiano.
